pool supply places concrete supply houses , independent hardware stores
around here have the muriatic acid. i also used it on stubborn drains
successfully just after moving here. but this stuff is not a safe product to
use , without a lot of caution. opening the bottle on a humid day can cause
instant fumes almost strong enough to knock you for a loop. i use it at @
50% with water to clean filters used in a hot tub. just mixing it with
water has to be done just right.
BUT it cleans rusty parts instantly...and cast stuff faster. you must do it
near or in the sink , ready to rinse it fast. i saved a junk frozen 140
carb (ball of corrosion?) once with a dip in acid for about 15 seconds then a
rinse with water. it was really foaming. it freed up enough to save it.
dont use it in the house , i bet on you getting thrown out , no matter how
tolerant she is..open areas right close to water. hands in rubber gloves ,
eye protection , common sense? but it works!
regards, Tim Colson
