<VV> corsa temp wiring and trans mounts questions

Greetings Vairfolk,

I've got two quick questions for you all this morning. The first
involves my installation of a second factory Corsa cylinder head temp guage
in my 66'. I need to wire up the guage/sender and wanted to know how the
wiring needs to work. I looked at the diagrams for a while but it was a
little confusing trying to single out just that one circuit to break it down
into it's simplest form. I'm going to be running a pair of wires back from
the guage... how do I hook it up?

The other thing is trans mounts. My perimeter seal has been repeatedly
pulling off partway, particularly down the drivers side but not
exclusively. I decided I'd better check my trans mounts (the rear "engine"
mount is new) to make see if they were causing this so I put a jack under
the diff and unbolted the trans mounts. I slowly lowered the jack and the
drivetrain did not come down nearly far enough to get the trans mounts out..
the jack just dropped out from under and the trans hung there!

Now on the bright side I guess this means a tranny mount failure
wouldn't be as catastrophic as I had imagined, but it also prevents me from
removing the trans mounts. Firstly is there a good technique for checking
these mounts (before I go to all the trouble of changing them)? Second
could someone give me a rundown on the quickest/simplest way to get them
out?
