James's point also is valid for the linkage/bellcrank at the end of the  
tunnel.  If the rubber and nylon pieces are worn out there will be slop at  
that point as well.  My Corsa 140 worked much better when these pieces were  
serviced.
 
Dang it's raining here again..........can't get Corvair stuff done  
properly.
