<VV> Another idle circuit tip

I have been reading the posts on using wires to unplug an idle circuit, so her is an layman's tip. A small wire will work IF the plug is in the small pick up tube. The size of the end of the tube varies, so just find the smallest wire you can keep straight and try it. I use a .010" jet probe. If it goes all the way through the tube, it's the right size. The problem with this, however, is that the plug is often NOT in that tube, but in the slot in the cluster that connects the tube to the circuit in the carb body. It has about a 45-degree turn in the middle and I often find it plugged. Sometimes spraying carb cleaner into the vent hole will clean this out, but if it doesn't, it will require removal of the cluster so you can squirt carb cleaner and/or compressed air into the outlet of this circuit (the most right hand hole when looking at it inverted from the front) while holding a finger over the top vent. If you get squirted in the eye from the pickup tube when you do this, the circuit in the cluster is clear. Then check the carb internal circuit (show in the photos on this topic) by squirting something down into the idle passage opening and see that comes out the mixture needle hole. Hope this helps.
