This is the car Mark Corbin donated to CPF back in the 90s. We had it in
the Corvair Museum in Richmond. It is a good looking car.

If it wasn't running, then it has "sitting disease", as most cars in
museums have ( and cars in my yard...). It's good that Larry could help out.

Pete Koehler was at the monthly CCE meeting this evening. He is an
honorary
member of CCE because of past history with the club. We don't see him
often.

Tonight he brought (on an open trailer) the "youngest known existing"
Corvair. This is a blue 1969 sporting a 140 engine as requested by a GM
exec and with VIN number ending 5999. Pete explained why the car would not
start on that fateful day in May of 1969. I'll leave the story for his
telling at some other time.

The car runs now. Claypool saw to that earlier in the day.

Later, JR
