<VV> Floor Pan Replacement

You want to have the perimeter of the two panels overlapping by about 3/4"
to1". No butt welds.
You drill a series of 3/16" holes, spaced about 2" apart and weld through
them with the panels clamped firmly together.
This process replaces the original style spot welds.

Subject: <VV> Floor Pan Replacement

I am planning on replace all four of my floor pans in a 64 spyder. My
question
is; would you use a butt joint or a lap joint weld. What would be the best.
If
you use a lap joint weld, how much of a overlap should you have.

Thanks for all of your help.
