You bought old stock rubber that was already partially deteriorated OR there 
IS ethanol in your gasoline?

You said - 3 times - but you did not say over what time period.  Those of us 
in ethanol states (most now) are changing accelerator pump cups (new rubber) 
every 2 to 3 years.
