Hi everyone,

Reproduction Plastic remote mirror parts (Guy Brandes)

Guy Brandes asks: What would people be willing to pay for reproductions of the 1964-66 Remote Mirror parts?

The answer in my opinion is probably whatever is the asking price is.

I have well over $2,000.00 dollars invested in two (2) 1964-66 Chevrolet 'Corvair' Remote Mirrors. If I these mirrors could not be used because of damaged, broken or worn out internal plastic parts then I would without question pay a high price to obtain them.

In the end it's a matter of 'supply and demand'. The mirrors as I understand it are quite rare so perhaps the demand might not be high, however those who have these mirrors like my self might place a high value on the plastic parts if they were hard to obtain.

Hope the above helps.

Regards

"We're working on reproducing the 2 plastic remote 64 to 66 mirror parts and are trying to get a idea on the weak points that could be reinforced with out hindering the operation of the adjustment of the mirror head. Clark's reproduces only the part attached to the head unit and not the 2 pieces that the cables attach to. Any ideas would be appreciated. On another note, what would people be willing to pay for reproductions of these parts?"
