Hi Mike,

I have a Flaming River quick steering box that I bought for my 1967 Monza,
which needs the "flat" to fit the later LM (1967-1969) shaft.

I bought it from Seth a few months ago, and never installed it, after
rebuilding my box.

It was modified for a 1967-1969 collapsible shaft, but also fits other
1965-1966 model shafts (the "flat" doesn't seem to interfere, if I'm correct
about that ~ just a few splines are "empty" ?)

Here are some pix of the "flat" and its alignment :

I haven't decided whether to install it or not yet !

Have fun with your project ~
Charlie

Subject: <VV> LM steering box

I have a LM steering box with a 1 1/2 " stub shaft and a flat machined into
it.
Can someone identify it as being able to by used on a stock '69?
