Hi everyone, I know the subject of power windows in Corvairs has been discussed before but the more I think about this issue the more I wonder why an 'after market' kit is not offered by Clark's or other Corvair specialists vendors. I say this because I imagine that a set of after market or factory power windows for a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro would only need quite minor charges to work in a 1965-69 Chevrolet Corvair. Much as I am a real supporter of 100% correct original cars I expected that power windows could fall into the category of tasteful modification. Provided the installation used period correct power window switches and looked in everyway as the factory would have installed them had they been offered. I would even purchase the 1967 Camaro power window set up and then modify them my self. However living on the other side of the world and not knowing if 1967 Camaro factory or aftermarket power windows could be modified to suit a late model Corvair means that I might be paying a lot of money of shipping and purchasing parts only to find the whole set up cannot be used. I don't about this rest of you, but if I could not achieve a factory installation appearance (on the door trims) them I would not install power windows. What's everyone's view? Regards Carl L.
