Hi Karl,
I used power windows on all my 'vairs. On the 67 Cpe. (all 4 windows) installed ones taken from a 60s Cadillac (27 years ago) but, think most GMs used same type. They were modified taking off the arm that moves the window up & down and installed the one from the Corvair's original. You will need to take measurements for the right angle position of the arm and for the four new holes (to attach new mechanism) inside the door. Must align gear center (perfectly visible) with the center of the manual handle hole. For the Rampside and 6 Bluebrier windows, used same kind for front doors and modified Lumina's power windows for intermediate 4 windows.Late cars, like yours are the easiest for these mods. For somebody who converted a Vair to left hand driving, this will be a piece of cake. Sorry, don't have pictures of the coupe ones but, can send some from the BB's to give you an idea of the work involved.

> Hi everyone, I know the subject of power windows in Corvairs has been discussed before but the more I think about this issue the more I wonder why an 'after market' kit is not offered by Clark's or other Corvair specialists vendors. I say this because I imagine that a set of after market or factory power windows for a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro would only need quite minor charges to work in a 1965-69 Chevrolet Corvair. Much as I am a real supporter of 100% correct original cars I expected that power windows could fall into the category of tasteful modification. Provided the installation used period correct power window switches and looked in everyway as the factory would have installed them had they been offered. I would even purchase the 1967 Camaro power window set up and then modify them my self. However living on the other side of the world and not knowing if 1967 Camaro factory or aftermarket power windows could be modified to suit a late model Corvair means that I might be p

I don't about this rest of you, but if I could not achieve a factory installation appearance (on the door trims) them I would not install power windows. What's everyone's view? Regards Carl L.
