<VV> staples on LM engine to body seals

I have now been told that '65 and possibly early '66 originally had 
staples - primarily  on the corner pieces and possibly on the rear center 
piece of the upper perimeter retainers.  Someone here on VV mentioned a '69 
with staples.  So, these bits of information seem to be in conflict.
