OK, so we're good - I replied to Carl, ~

It's good to see VV come together as a team ~ it sounds like "VV to the
rescue"!

I said to Carl that '64rampside' is probably out of town, holidays and all,
and since both Carl and Duane are members in good standing, all is well!

Have a Vairy Merry Christmas, Quanza, and whatever holiday puts you in a
festive mood!

Charlie, Carl is our Australian member - been around forever! And makes the
trip from Australia to attend conventions - not to mention making incredibly
interesting presentations when he does.

So whatever anyone can do for him is a big plus for the club.

Out of curiosity, are you on our list, or related to someone on our list?

Did you buy this from '64rampside'?
'64rampside' has not sold or bought anything since Jan-18-2010 - see
attached image ~ He may be 'out of town' for the holidays.

Why did you not pay using PayPal?  It would be "protected" if you had, but
contact them anyway.

Did the draft clear your account (if it was drawn on your account), and can
you stop payment on the draft?

Hi everyone, Can anyone help me with a potential problem that  I have with a
recent eBay purchase from a Corvair owner in Portaland Oregon. In summary
here's the position I am in: 1/  Last Sunday evening December 11, 2011
I purchased an NOS 1965-66 Chevrolet compass from a Mr. Duanne Luckow of
Portland Oregon via eBay. First thing the next morning morning I airmailed
my payment in the form of an International Bank Draft to the address Duanne
provided on his ebay invoice. 2/ Thursday morning December 15, 2011
I started to become concerned as my repeated emails to Duanne Lucklow were
not being answered. A white pages search reveals a phone number but this
phone number has been disconnected. I have since managed to contact Duane
Lucklows mother and as I understand it she is trying to contact her son but
tells me that he not long lives at the address that was noted on the eBay
invoice and that I have mailed my payment to. My concern is that my letter
and payment could be
a) Sitting at the front door of the empty house b) Maybe at a local Post
Office unclaimed
c) May eentually be returned 'Not Known at this address'
d) Or worse may have been cashed by someone else.
If anyone knows Duanne Luckow, can get a meassage to him or give a contact
phone number or email then please let me know asap. Hope someone can help me
