<VV> CORSA and Air Cleaner Finish is it chrome or black?

Roy, CORSA concours judging is based on cleanliness and condition, NOT how
stock a car appears. "Stockness" only affects what class a car is assigned
to. But since there is not a forced stack-ranking within each class but
instead a fixed point threshold for Gold, Silver, etc., being in a smaller
Stock class does not affect the likelihood of getting an award either. The
only thing that a stock designation provides is the ability to compete for
the separate "best stock" car. And a sense of accomplishment for achieving a
stock designation.

That said, the Stock Corvair Group is dedicated to finding answers to all
kinds of stock questions, because those of us in it are a bunch of nuts who
enjoy this sort of thing. :-) The variety, number, and difficulty of
unanswered stock questions is extreme. The NCRS has had a small army of
people researching the equivalent questions for Corvettes for 25 or more
years, while a very small group of us just got started (with no budget,
etc.) a few years ago.

Subject: <VV> CORSA and Air Cleaner Finish is it chrome or black?

Seeing all the posts on turbo air cleaner finish, chrome or black, I am
surprised that CORSA or some CORSA car show judge hasn't addressed this
concern.

But then again I assume, CORSA has a set of standards to judge cars as to
original equipment, fit and finish. How do they class cars at National
Conventions if there is no set of standards?
