I own a 62 monza coupe where the engine bay has never been painted. It
is a later one in the production run, has a 63 electrical harness in
it, and the original engine bay color is the body color. It has the 62
Monza emblem, too.

It seems GM made changeovers to systems and paint when it was
convienient for them, not specifically at a assigned certain serial
