I totally disagree.  Amsoil IS more slippery.  Much more slippery.  Just spill some on your garage floor sometime.  It's a blast to clean up.  And it's film strength is 12 times greater than petroleum oil.  You forgot to mention it also doesn't get thick in cold temps either.  (Just put a quart of each type in your freezer, then try and pour each and watch what happens.
Claims of superiority?  Why would you question the superiority of an oil that a trucker, using Amsoils by-pass filter technology, went 409,000 miles without an oil change in his diesel?  At every 25,000 miles he used oil analysis and if it passed, he kept on going.  It is well documented by Amsoil.  They even had pictures of the engine after it was torn down because the owner was selling the truck.  Pretty cool.  You could still see the cross hatch pattern in the cylinder liners!!!   Hey, the stuff works.  It works so well i've installed an Amsoil by-pass filter on each of my Corvairs.  Hey, as long as they pass the oil analysis every 25,000 miles, oil changes are a thing of the past.

Like the saying goes: There is none so blind as those who will not see.  You can also lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink.

In the end, wisdom is proven right by her works.
