After all that back and forth, Tim, yes the 65-69 barrel fits the 64  
crankcase just fine. The 64 case is just like the 65-69 case. Since you stated  
you will be using 65 heads, the 65 barrels, fit those too, of course. The 
only  easy way to tell the 64 and 65 cases apart is the stamped ID number. Like 
the  crank, the cases are interchangeable. - Seth
