just like other tapered suspension joints that are put together to stay
that way safely , i use an air impact hammer head in a muffler chisel on the
side of the piece i am removing. one side then the other , usually falls
apart quickly with no damage. just loosen the nut a few turns , and the part
will drop to the nut. same with ball joints , and tie rod ends.
sometimes a good smack on the SIDE with a heavy hammer will do it also.
but never on the end of the shaft or bolt (even with a nut on it ) .
regards, Tim Colson
