A frequent query on this list regards the choice of a truck shipper for a 
car.  My first and only experience doing this was a good one with a Florida 
outfit called Auto Star Transport.  They shipped my car (not a Corvair) 3080 
miles (shortest distance, probably really a lot more) without a scratch for 
$1200 which I was very happy with.  They have several offices and are easily 
found on a computer.
