<VV> Sticking Wheel Cylinder

I'm trying to imagine why the wheel cylinders would seize up with silicone
fluid in them.
I'd have a helper push the pedal while you try to turn the tire (unloaded,
of course), to see who, if any are sticking.

Subject: <VV> Sticking Wheel Cylinder

I'm looking for the experience of others on this. My Corsa had new wheel
cylinders installed by a trusted Corvair mechanic when I didn't have the
time. He used the silicone DOT 5 fluid I supplied to flush and refill the
system. After about six months (mostly of sitting with a few trips of 40
miles or less) the left front cylinder started to seep brake fluid (I use
silicone DOT 5 unless I can drive the cars several times a week). I took
the
car off the street in front of the house and put it in the driveway to
trouble shoot, but winter intervened and I didn't get to it until spring
when I
noticed that the seeping had stopped--apparently from just exercising the
brakes. The pedal is too hard now and I don't trust the system so I plan
to
hone the two front cylinders, flush the whole system and refill with
silicone DOT 5.

I don't do brake jobs that often anymore, but I usually get them right.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem?
