<VV> noisy lifters and car valuation

Went to look at that car tonight, what a rust bucket!  There wasn't enough
left of it even to consider it a parts car!  The guy was very nice and had a
number of other rust piles that were previously Corvairs on the property as
well.  He had a 66' 140 Corsa coupe that he wants to restore... it's perhaps
BARELY restorable.. lots of rust.

Among the rust piles was a late model 4-door car, yellow with a black top.
The car was an original two-tone car with the chrome moldings separating the
two colors.  I sold a pair of these last year here on VV for $100.00 and I
told him so, if anyone wants them (looked to be in nice shape but we didn't
make our way around to see the drivers side one) for roughly that price let
me know and I'll contact the guy.
