Yes the late front suspension will fit an early, giving you a sway bar and
wider brakes.
You can put FC axles on an early car, gaining 5 bolt wheels and much better
11" brakes, but they are longer so you have to put spacers between the
backing plates and the A arms.  Beware of tire interference with the fender
lip if you do this as your wheels will be closer to the outside of the car.
