mechanical, not juice, in my experience, but I'm not "old" -- also some 
lawn tractors, twin screw water craft, and row boats fit this category.

Many dune buggies have twin "maneuvering" brakes -- some juice style, 
some just twin parking brakes.

We put race car style twin single master cylinders on my buddies hot rod 
(single pedal) -- not the easiest things to get balanced up for 
controlled stopping.
