<VV> mystery part

It is a black cylinder a
little over an inch long and maybe 3/8 diameter that came off the 65' (which
is still apart).  My memory says this thing was in the harness right around
(very possibly connected to) the coil but there isn't one on my 66'.

Sure sounds like the noise expressionist condenser...  short black wire on the end.???
