 The diode is very worthwhile. The points get dirty from arcing, and the point debris then gets into the clock mechanism. The diode stops all of that.

I was thinking about doing the diode mod, but on the other hand since I

found both of my Corsa clocks had stopped with the points open it seems

getting dirty killed them, not the points getting burnt.



I saw Clarks has a diode kit for them.
