$475,823  for the Bertone bodied Corvair based Testudo (turtle - in  
Italian) at Villa d'Este(?) in the Lake Como area of NW Italy.  Sold on May
21st 
by RM auctions.  I believe the car is based on a '62 Corvair stock  platform

and is said to be a real pleasure to drive.  Would this not be a  world 
record for sale of a Corvair based car?  I wonder who bought  it.
