Seth: Quite agree that white and blue is outstanding. I am redoing the Aqua interior on my 66 Monza Sport Sedan and the aqua that Clark has for the headliner doesn't match exactly. I decided to go with a very slightly off-white headliner which I think will look really nice when the car's finished.

She is in the shop getting her body done over and new Artesian Turquoise paint. Previous owner installed Oldsmobile Cutlass 14" wheels with matching turquoise trim. I think I prefer those to the 13" wheels with factory hubcaps, but I'll wait to see how she comes out with the new paint...

I redid the rear seat with a matching Clark's aqua upholstery set and will be installing my Nissan Maxima seats that were set up for my 69 Monza up front; the factory buckets fold back without a latch and they are pretty ratty.

I redid the vinyl seat covers for those high back front seats with vinyl aqua paint; they came out looking really nice! If I don't like them I will re-upholster the stock front buckets provided I can install headrests.

Those Maxima seats aren't stock but they saved me from what would probably have been a nasty whiplash when a distracted idiot rear ended me in the '69 at what felt like around 40 mph, so safety first.

Speaking of safety first, I've ordered a set of aqua lap belts to match the interior. I'm a little nervous about using 45 year old seat belts, you can imagine. This car also seems to have a roof panel for installing shoulder belts. That may follow in the future. Till then I've got lots of small but important fixes to get the '66 up to speed so I drive her safely and daily.

I just had a feeling that she will be a good solid little car that I could be proud to drive and enjoy. I miss my '69, I'm selling that one to a '69 enthusiast who hopefully can get her fixed up. I'm hoping to get her ready for my son's wedding at the end of the month, G-d willing.
