<VV> early dash pad and heater duct help needed

It sounds like these jobs are going to be as bad as I feared.

Anyone able to talk to me about removing an early padded dash?

As far as not taking the glass out I'll see if I can get away with it... the
problem is I'm changing the interior color and have to get paint all the way
up to the front.. I suppose I should be able to manage it.
