I will tie this to the Corvair by saying I remember when my aunt had her
initials (HF) and the last 4 digits of her phone number (Granite 4-3147) on
her Corvair license plate.  I still have the plate some 45 years later!  I
even know the VIN of the Corvair it was on, the day it was purchased, and
the day my Dad bought it from Uncle Bill, and the day I passed my drivers
test (in 1974) on the same Corvair.  And people didn't bother you about that
sort of thing in those days.
