<VV> Looking for community data - NO corvair

I have just been appointed to a special task force for our District School Board in our Florida county (counties are the districts) to study and make a recommendation on the viability of going to a 4-day school week in light of no longer having the money to fund a 5-day one (all school employees took a 4% pay cut this year after going for 3 years without a raise). I am looking for anyone in our group who has experience or knowledge of communities that have already done/considered/studied that to help speed up the research. This is not a new concept and is being done in many small or rural communities, but ours is one with about 70,000 students and 8800 employees.
