Perhaps before condemning this oil filter a proper inspection and diagnosis should be performed.
Is it properly torqued? Was any "debris" (like the old seal) left in the oil filter adaptor plate? What is the amount of time and mileage between filters failing? Etc. I for 1 am interested in hearing what is the reason for this failure as I have this filter on my shelf as well as on a couple of my cars. And this is not one of the problems I have heard of being associated with this part number.
