It should be mentioned that these are not spin on filters. The correct way to install these is to turn the bolt and draw the filter to the base. If the filter is turned after making contact with the surface of the base it can and does in many cases deform the gasket and cause hole alignment problems. I am sure everyone here is aware of this, but just in case. GMoore
