>From these answers I'm wondering if any of you have FCs or maybe I'm just crazy. I can tell you what I've tried on my '63 Greenbrier. A standard 15x7" GM wheel with 3 3/4" backspacing hits the front steering arm/tie rod hard on an FC they fit fine on the rear. A 15x6 might fit? A 16x8" IROC front wheel hits the front of the tie rod end but you can grind the tie rod to clear. I haven't had any tire clearance problems on the front with 245/50R16s. If you had a 16" steel wheel with the same offset it should clear ok. You can use the 16x8 IROC wheels with the same tires on the rear but you have to do a lot of grinding on the lip of the cross member. You might have to grind the control arm too but I don't remember. They clear the sheet metal just fine although they look like they wouldn't.
On the front take a look at your stock wheels and remember that going from a 14 to a 15" will only give you an extra 1/2" of clearance in diameter.

Since you are going to a larger wheel diameter, you may not have tie rod end interference that is an issue with FC 14" wheels. It is wise to check as some mag wheels are thick on the rims.
