There's no reason why a radial should be at a higher pressure than a bias
tire and the factory recommended pressure of 28 psi is just fine unless
you're going to load a thousand pounds or more, which I occasionally do in
mine. Then I raise the pressure to 35 psi but see no reason to go to a
tire's maximum allowable pressure unless the tire is being loaded to it's
maximun allowable. My '63 Rampside is usually lightly loaded if at all so
the 28 psi is just fine for normal use which includes parades where it is
very popular. I've run it this way for 17 years with no tire or wheel
problems.
