Daren,
    I had the same problem a few years ago. Some folks in the group advised 
how it could be fixed, but the process seemed too much like work for me, so 
I just learned to live with it. It has not been a problem. You can expect 
some more constructive responses from others, but as far as I'm concerned, 
replacing or repairing it is a PITA not worth the effort.

Hi all, I just found the end of what is obviously a bit of spring on the 
floor by my drivers door, and now my door handle doesn't return to centre. 
Still works, but is just a kind of 'limp' movement.
Is this a known problem, and can it be fixed easily enough?
