Working in the lubricant industry all I can say is.......
Anyone who tries cooling their Corvair motor with any type of heat transfer
or coolant oil gets exactly what they deserve.
A very expensive repair bill.

Lubricants are designed to lubricate, they have specific "additive packages"
designed to the required characteristics they need for a specific
application.

My company has a R&D team constantly expanding to develop new lubricants to
meet market needs. Specific applications have certain requirements, whether
they are an oil or a grease.

Anytime you try and design in and improve a product to increase its
capabilities in one area, it loses characteristics in other areas. Improving
heat transfer, or cooling, will certainly reduce its ability in wear, or
other properties.

It is not a simple science.
