OK, another perspective I hadn't seen when I posted!

Thanks for the clarification - the "half-shafts" are more like the
"driveshaft" in an old-fashioned FE/RWD car, and y'all correctly pointed out
it was "input shaft" that I meant!

Thanks for the CSL (Corvair as a Second Language) tutorial !

All the LM car half-shafts are the same length.
