<VV> Powerglide Shifting Issues (getting better)

At the (I believe it was) Iowa convention, there was a gentleman (forgotten
the name just now) at the back of the outdoor vendor area who did a "tech
session" on transmissions. He had with him an example of a transmission
which had been on seal sweller (unknown brand).

Going through various components of that transmission VS one that needed
rebuild but had not received the "chemical" treatment, he pointed out a
number of areas which had been rendered useless in the "treated" tranny.
Now, I've not rebuild a PG and likely never will, but one thing I took away
with me from that tech session was that staying away from "tranny in a can"
would be a very good idea.

Others of VV were there for that presentation? Perhaps you could chime in
with the gentleman's name and further detail?

Later, JR
