<VV> FC TAIL LIGHT GROUNDS

A while back, I installed brake\tail lights in all four positions on my '66
Corsa. I soldered a separate ground wire to each socket and then crimped a
ring terminal onto the ground wire and then fastened it under a mounting
bolt. A pleasant side effect is, if you need a trouble light at night in
the "engine room" just unplug one of the tail lights. It will continue to
burn as it has a separate, independent ground. Just the thing for changing
a fan belt in the dark of night.

I have seen bad grounds between the housing and the body , BUT also between
the socket and the housing. If you turn the socket just a little in the
aluminum housing , the problem will go away for a short time...So a Short
decent size wire soldered to a cleaned spot on the side of the socket and

put under a mounting screw , Will be a more permanent fix , that does not

show. Clean everything with wire brush or wheel.
