Ray,

Thanks for the comments, sometimes you don't know what better looks
like until you're forced to make a change. As the photographer and
producer of the calendar, I try and stay loyal to the companies I deal
with. I've been doing these posters for about 15 years now and this
year changed to my fourth printer. The first one was local and I had
to change due to price. The second, I only used once because the
quality wasn't as good as the local. The third I'd been using for the
last 4 years and they made a change in their file formats last year,
which caused enough of a delay that I didn't check the proof close
enough to notice that 2 of the months were screwed up. When I went
back to them this year, after working out the calendar issues, I found
that their prices tripled - time to change printers again.

What does this sob story have to do with anything? It's just the
reason for the change of printers. But, this new printer didn't offer
the same paper stock as the others. Hence, the lighter weight. This
can also affect ink saturation and color. Add to this the fact that I
had a battery failure with my Nikon DSLR and with no time to recharge,
had to borrow a camera (many thanks to Jim Diehl). Suffice it to say
that at this point, I'm not sure why this poster is so much brighter
than previous ones, but as many of you have said, it looks great.

Enough of the long winded explanations. If anybody would like to have
their very own 18X24 poster of the top 25 people's choice cars from
the 2011 DACC Homecoming (along with a not very usable, but correct
calendar), just send me your name, address and $5 for each calendar,
plus $4 s&h (I can put 5 calendars in a single mailing tube, so you
save some cash by combining an order with a friend). If you're
ordering from Canada, please send in US funds.

Please send orders to:

John Allesee - DACC Calendar
P. O. Box 549

Thanks and we hope to see you at this year's Homecoming.
