Craig Nicol of Coeur d'Alene, Id has a Buick 215 bored out with a
reverse rotation cam in it in a LM. It looks and drives great. there
are a few Olds Toronado powered cars around, too. Mark Durham

Subject: Re: <VV> ENGINE SWAP
The big issue for having the engine behind the trans is direction of
rotation, and /or, corresponding direction of travel. Unfortunately,
the wheel well and rear bulkhead location on a stock Corvair don't allow
a lot of options without major modifications to either engine,
drivetrain, body, or some combination thereof.

The Fiero guys have it made -- the engine (originally Chevy Cavalier) is
in front of the drivetrain (sorta) but nearly everything of interest
just bolts up without direction reversals.

Would be interested to hear of other's solutions ...
