Remember Bob. The way to do that is to remove the plug wire at the plug,  
insert an extra spark plug into the end of the wire and ground the shell. 
Then  look for a jumping spark. Do not allow the coil to fire anywhere else 
inside the  cap. Pulling off a wire and letting the spark jump out to ground is 
dangerous  for the ignition system inside the cap. If the spark cannot find 
a ground to  jump to out the end of the plug wire, it will jump to a ground 
inside the cap.  This can fry the electronics inside.
