 Yep, and I think that was also a true boxer, with a 10 throw crank, as I can't see any other way to make an even firing flat 10...

No horizontally opposed [boxer / flat ] 8 cylinder engines for Corvair ... 
However, thanks to well known Chevrolet engineer, Bob Kirkman, we have photos of 
a 10 cylinder horizontally opposed engine from Chevrolet!
