Randy,
What everyone else said plus check the wire behind the door switch---many
have been twisted too much by POs turning the nut without holding the
contact plunger to keep the wires from twisting into a ball or breaking back
inside behind the switch. If the switch doesn't ground the wire because the
wire is broken you won't get the lights to work.

What wiring is messed up? You have hot at the bulbs, and the switches
seem fine. So, you just need the white wire to connect between the lamps
and the switches.
What happens when you put lamps in the sockets?

another light switch and observed its operation. Unless my switch in the dash is
totally hosed, I think that can be ruled out as a cause. Both door jamb
switches appear ok and seem to function normally. That leaves the wiring.
On this score, as I don't have much under dash experience, I need some
advice.

make for easier access to things by removing the radio and glove box? Or
the instrument cluster even? I already have both front seats removed. Or
would I be better off just to grin-and-bear-it ? Thoughts and wisdom on this
issue please.
