Absolutely remove the front crossmember with the powertrain attached as an
assembly.

 I'm going to remove the complete drive trail from my '66 PG. Just want
opinion:

 Is it better to remove the bolts holding the PG to the front engine mounts,
or 
to take the engine mount off the car with the drive train.

 All is disconnected except engine mounts and will drop the drive train
using 
modified motorcycle jack tomorrow or Monday.
