Remember, the name Corvair was first coined in 1954, as a fastback Corvette 
model concept.

Corvettes finally became available in a fastback model in 1968, but by then, 
the name had been
established as the production aircooled model we all know.

CORV- and was AIR cooled after some reading on the web it comes from the 
CORV- and the BEL_AIR learned somtin that i did not know trey bosson 
wellsville ny 60 v8 vair
