<VV> Rampside on Display

The Motor Trend International Auto Show will be at the Richmond Virginia Convention Center, Friday-Saturday, 10 AM-10 PM; Sunday 10 AM-6 PM.  "Fifty Years of Motor Trend History, the Cars of 1962" is featured with 15 automobiles from that year.  Cars include: Chevy Impala SS 409, Pontiac Catalina 425A, Corvette Convertible, Buick Skylark Convertible, Ford Galaxie 500 2 Dr HT, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, MGA Roadster, MGB Roadster, Studebaker Hawk Gran Turisamo, Thunderbird Sport Coupe, Triumph TR3-B, Cadillac Eldorado Barriatz Convertible, Jaguar XKE, Chrysler 300 C.  And with these exceptional (read high dollar) automobiles would you believe there will also be a Corvair Rampside!  The only truck fit for such a display.  $5K was just added to its value! The display beside the Rampside has the pamplet "The Ten Top Reasons to Own a Corvair,"  three pages of "Corvair Facts and Myths" along with a page from the July 2009 Corsa Communique covering the Virginia Vair Fair.  The display inside the bed is the four page report from the National Higway Traffic Safety Aministration explaining that Corvairs "handling and stability performance is at least as good as the performance of some contemporary vehicles foreign and domestic."  There are also a couple of Communiques, information on the 2012 Virginia Vair Fair and club business cards available.    The Rampside is owned by Ray and Natalie Davis of Fredericksburg (Stafford County), Virginia.
