Dave,
I know Kendall Oil was the first oil to advertise that it could last 2,000 miles (this was "pre-engine oil filter" days), which is why the hand with two fingers is on the bottle (no, it's NOT intended to be a "peace sign")...
Just a bit of oil trivia for the unwashed masses out there.

Yep, just like 3,000 mile oil changes are today.  I think it was Champion
that had a slogan, "You ought to change them every 10,000 miles."
