 Reread the part about having a statistically significant sample. The fact this thread comes up a lot, with lots of responses from people who've had HRPT issues indicates there's a statistically significant problem. 

Heck, if it's only 1%, that's STILL a lot of failures out there!

OK but when?  Mine has been just fine for the last 46 years so maybe100 
years?  If so it's obviously a serious problem!
