<VV> FC Axle Splines

I use never seize because I'm in the east where everything rusts!

I do agree it is supposed to be a press fit, hence why you vendors sell
yoke pullers. And why my yoke puller has worn out the bolt several times!
Had to weld a nut onto the plate when the threads in the plate became
smooth. And again this is why I use never seize here in the east....

I never tried epoxy, seen others try many different glues, but when the
splines are worn, there is backlash, and more steel (OK, cast iron...) gets
rubbed every time you shift!

Luckily the yoke seems softer than the axle, so I've just had to replace
the yokes on repair jobs.

And remember, when you see the ring of rust dust exiting the yoke to axle
joint, there already is slop in the splines. Time to fix before failure on
the road. Good news, no puller needed at this point!

I am trying to understand the suggestions for anti-seize or grease (?).
What I suggest is JB Weld (or other similar metal filled epoxy) to take
up any slop. If you can eliminate the slop the yoke will last virtually
forever.
